Kali Jones registered four hits with two stolen bases and freshman
Emily Langkamp added three hits as UNCW earned a split of its doubleheader against Youngstown State and Sacred Heart at the Seahawk Spring Showcase at Boseman Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who saw their record move to 7-12, dropped a 3-2 decision against Youngstown State before claiming a 4-2 victory over Sacred Heart in the nightcap.
Jones paced the Seahawks against Youngstown State by going 4-for-4 while Langkamp went 3-for-5 in the twinbill, including a 2-for-2 showing in the win over Sacred Heart.
Senior
Kelsey Bryan added two hits with a run scored and four stolen bases for the Seahawks, who were 14-for-14 in stolen base attempts in the doubleheader.
Sophomore
Rylee Pate earned her second win of the year after allowing two runs on six hits in 6.0 innings against Sacred Heart. Junior
Laurel Koontz threw a scoreless seventh inning to earn her second save of the season.
