Volleyhawks Close Out Regular Season With Win

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior Maddy Kline's 13th double-double of the season helped lift UNCW to a 3-1 win (20-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21) at William & Mary in the regular season finale for both teams on Sunday at Kaplan Arena.

The Seahawks, who clinched a Colonial Athletic Association tournament berth last week, enter the postseason with a record of 15-11 overall and 8-8 in the league. The Tribe closed out the season with a 5-20 mark and was 1-15 in the CAA.

Kline's double-double of 11 kills and 15 digs was the lone double-double on the afternoon for UNCW. Her 11 kills were a team-high while three other Seahawks finished with at least seven kills. The Seahawks hit .256 over the final three sets with just 10 hitting errors during that span.

W&M's Lauren Merrill led three in double-digit kills with a match-high 20 kills. Lauren Moussaid held match-high honors with 29 digs.
