UNCW Notes
The Seahawks, who claimed a victory over No. 5 Charlotte before a draw against William & Mary last week, earned a spot in the NSCAA National Top-25 poll and head into Saturday's contest with a 5-1-1 overall record with a 0-0-1 conference mark. UNCW, which received votes in each of the previous two NSCAA polls, also garnered a No. 13 position in the Top Drawer Soccer Top-25 rankings this week.
Freshman forward
Phillip Goodrum earned CAA Rookie-of-the-Week accolades on Monday after scoring the eventual game-winning goal against No. 5 Charlotte for his second marker of the season.
Drexel, which carries a 1-6-2 overall record and a 0-2-0 mark in league play, enters Saturday's game against the Seahawks with hopes of snapping a four-game losing streak following a 2-0 setback against Delaware on Wednesday night at Vidas Field.
Sophomore defender
Ilai Shvika has tallied two of the Dragons' five goals this season while junior midfielder
Colin McGlynn has contributed a goal with two assists.
UNCW leads the all-time series over Drexel by a 10-4-0 margin and has won the last two installments, including last year's 3-1 triumph in Wilmington.
