WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Nick Feight and Brian Mims led an explosive UNCW offense as the Seahawks pounded East Tennessee State, 17-7, to clinch a non-conference series on Saturday at Brooks Field.

The Seahawks improved to 22-9 with their seventh consecutive win, a season-high, and raised their record to 17-2 at home. The Buccaneers fell to 15-19 with their sixth straight setback.

Feight finished with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and a career-high six runs batted in. He raised his national-leading total to 59 RBI's. Mime, meanwhile, banged out a career-high five hits, scored three runs and drove in two. Adding three-hit games for UNCW, which collected a season-high 23 hits, were Kennard McDowell and Daniel Stack, who homered twice. Freshman Ryan Jeffers made the most of his start, finishing with four hits, including his first career round trippers, and three RBI's.
Reliever Austin Easter (1-0) picked up the win as he spear-headed the UNCW bullpen effort with three hitless innings of relief while striking out four.

Lance Mays homered for ETSU while Caleb Longley knocked in two runs.
