WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW slammed a season-high five home runs as the Seahawks picked up a series win with Iona on Saturday after an 11-4 win at Brooks Field.

UNCW ran its record to 11-6 overall and 11-2 at Brooks Field with its second straight victory. The Gaels, who had a three-game winning streak snapped yesterday, dropped their second-in-a-row and dipped to 4-11.

Alex Royalty (4-1) picked up the win working five innings and striking out five. Reliever Austin Easter held the Gaels to one hit over three innings out of the bullpen to lower his earned run average to 1.26.

Iona starter Bill Maier (0-3) took the loss, allowing nine runs, seven earned, over four innings of work.
