Fairfield Inn and Suites Seahawk Softball Bash Tournament Central Page
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW opened its 2016 softball season by earning a split against Saint Francis (Pa.) and Eastern Kentucky at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Seahawk Softball Bash at Boseman Field on Friday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who started a string of 19 consecutive home games to begin the year, dropped their season opener by an 11-0 margin against Saint Francis in the tournament opener before claiming a 5-4 victory over Eastern Kentucky.
Freshman
Kali Jones collected two hits, including a double, while five other Seahawks recorded a hit in the win over Eastern Kentucky.

Sophomore
Sarah Davis earned the complete-game victory against Eastern Kentucky, scattering seven hits while allowing two earned runs. She also struck out eight hitters without a walk.Â
