WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Freshman pitcher
Haley Lenderman scattered six hits over five innings to lead UNCW to its second straight win, a 5-3 victory over Army West Point at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Seahawk Softball Bash at Boseman Field on Saturday afternoon.
Making the first start of her college career, Lenderman allowed just two runs, including one earned run, and posted a pair of strikeouts. After giving up two runs in the top of the second inning, Lenderman allowed just four hits over the next three frames.

Hannah Adamczyk and sophomore outfielder
Sarah Davis each posted a pair of hits. Adamczyk also scored a run and drove in another run while Davis blasted her first home run of the season with a two-run shot in the fourth inning.
Army West Point was led by
Alee Rashenskas, who went 3-for-3 with a run scored.
Caroline Smith took the loss for the Black Knights after allowing four runs on three hits over four innings.
How It Happened vs. Army West Point: UNCW took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single by Adamczyk. After the Black Knights answered with two runs in the top of the second inning, the Seahawks scored three runs in the fourth inning to reclaim a 4-2 lead they did not relinquish.
Inside the Box Scores: Army outhit UNCW by an 8-5 margin … UNCW scored four of its five runs with two outs … The Black Knights were 9-for-18 in advancement opportunities, but 1-for-11 in RBI opportunities … UNCW was 3-for-7 in RBI opportunities.
