Penn Relays Up Next For UNCW Track & Field

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW competes this weekend at the Penn Relays in their final outing before defending their Colonial Athletic Association championship next weekend. The Relay open Thursday and run through Saturday.

The Seahawks will enter four relays on the men's side while the women will compete in five.

Cody Love is one of six Seahawks who will compete in individual events. Love will run in the 400 meter Hurdles where he's ranked 23rd in the East with a time of 51.93 seconds, which leads the CAA.

In the Pole Vault, Andy Jung (15-3) and Brad Hollowell (15-1) will represent the Seahawks. The duo is ranked second and third, respectively in the CAA.

Cam Walton will compete in the Long Jump. Walton is 21st in the East and second among the CAA leaders with a mark of 24-6.5 feet.

Margaret Edwards and Valerie Afam will jump in the High Jump and Long Jump, respectively. Edwards is third in the conference with a season-best mark of 5-7, set at the Bill Carson Invitational. Afam, meanwhile, is fourth after posting a jump of 18-9.25 earlier this season at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.
