GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Sophomore
Peyton Jordan (Marvin Ridge H.S./Waxhaw, N.C.) allowed just three hits and struck out five as UNCW posted its third win in the last four games with a 3-0 non-conference victory over North Carolina A&T at the Lady Aggies Softball Complex on Wednesday evening.
The win upped the Seahawks' record to 18-22 while North Carolina A&T dropped to 13-27.
Jordan, who improved her record to 7-5, posted her fourth shutout of the season as the Seahawks earned their fourth win over the Aggies this season.
Sophomore
Nella Chamblee (Corinth Holders H.S./Wendell, N.C.) and senior
Casey Rowland (Colonie Central H.S./Albany, N.Y.) each drove in a run for the Seahawks while five different players recorded a hit.
Junior
Janika May (Zion Benton H.S./Beach Park, Ill.) took the loss for North Carolina A&T after allowing three runs on five hits while posting a pair of strikeouts.

Jessica Rappe (Butler H.S./Charlotte, N.C.) scored on an Aggie error. A sacrifice fly by Rowland extended the margin to 3-0.
Inside the Box Score: The teams were a combined 3-for-15 with runners on base … UNCW was 5-for-10 in advancement opportunities … After allowing a hit to lead off the bottom of the first inning, Jordan retired 11 consecutive hitters … UNCW and North Carolina A&T combined to leave nine runners on base.
