Shatia Cole each scored 16 points as UNCW used a strong shooting effort to end a three-game losing streak with a 63-47 non-conference victory over North Florida at UNF Arena on Tuesday afternoon.

The Seahawks, who won their second consecutive road game, improved to 4-6 on the season while North Florida, which dropped a 4-10, suffered its third consecutive loss.

Led by Teague and Cole, the Seahawks shot a season-high 48.2 percent from the field, including a 15-for-30 effort in the first half. Teague made 8 of 17 shots from the floor en route to her fourth double-digit scoring effort in the last five games. Meanwhile, Cole came off the bench to make 7 of 12 field goal attempts, including both of her three-point shots.

Amber Reeves contributed nine points with a team-high seven rebounds while matching her career high with five assists.

Sierra Shepherd led North Florida with a game-high 18 points while contributing eight rebounds, six assists and six steals. Junior guard

How It Happened: The Seahawks never trailed in the game and led by as many as 23 points early in the fourth quarter. UNCW matched a season high by scoring 20 points in the second quarter, including 13 points from Teague and Reeves.
