WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Looking to build some momentum heading into the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament, the UNCW men's soccer team closes out the regular season on Tuesday night by visiting Charlotte for a non-conference game at Transamerica Field.

Opening kick-off between the Seahawks and the 49ers is set for 7 p.m. A live video broadcast is available for a fee by visiting Charlotte49ers.tv while live stats can be viewed at UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks, who are 8-6-3 on the season, will be hoping to earn a win in their final regular season game. UNCW dropped its second straight contest by a 1-0 margin against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday night in its home finale.

Senior forward Colin Bonner continues to pace the Seahawks offensively with seven goals and six assists while freshman midfielder Ben Fisher has added six goals with five assists.

Currently 8-5-2 on the season, the 49ers will also be trying to rebound from a tough loss on Saturday after suffering a 2-1 setback in double overtime against No. 16 Kentucky. The loss snapped Charlotte's five-game win streak and was its first defeat since a 1-0 decision against Clemson on Oct. 6.

Senior forward Kyle Parker and junior midfielder Brandt Bronico have combined to score 16 of the 49ers' 24 goals this year. Parker is the team's leading scorer with 10 goals and three assists while Bronico has contributed six goals with six assists.

Tuesday's game between the Seahawks and the 49ers will mark a homecoming of sorts for UNCW Coach Aidan Heaney. A 1992 graduate of Charlotte, he is one of three players to have his jersey retired and is the school's all-time leader with a 0.40 goals against average.

Charlotte leads the all-time series by a 7-5-3 margin, but the teams have not faced each other since the 2011 season.

After Tuesday's regular season finale, the Seahawks open CAA Tournament play on Saturday night with a quarterfinal game at Delaware at 7 p.m.
