The treatment and care of UNCW's student-athletes rests in the hands of UNCW's athletic training staff, headed up by Scott Hill, Director of Athletic Training Services.
A native of Wilmington, Hill took over the position in December of 2007 and oversees the day-to-day operations of both the George Diab Training Center and Almkuist-Nixon Sports Medicine Complex.
Hill, who enjoys bike riding, playing golf and fishing, earned his undergraduate degree in 1987 and graduate degree in 1988 in athletic training. He also earned a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2022.
Hill is a certified athletic trainer by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer and is a licensed athletic trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners. He is a member of the North Carolina Athletic Trainers Association and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association.
Hill and his wife, Janet, are the proud parents of twins Callie and Fulton. Both of which are graduates of UNCW.
