Tyler Kish joined the Athletic Communications staff at UNCW in December 2024.
Kish serves as the primary media contact for women’s basketball, women’s soccer, both men’s and women’s tennis, cross country, and track & field programs. He is responsible for biographical, statistical, and historical information for his assigned programs.
Before arriving at UNCW, Kish was an athletic communications assistant for the 2022-23 season at Binghamton University. He was the primary media contact for women’s lacrosse, wrestling, and men’s golf.
A native of Emmaus, Pennsylvania., Kish earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Clarion University in 2019. He broadcasted high school sporting events in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia regions for Penn Sports Radio, including the 2024 PIAA 4A Baseball State Championship.
Most recently, Kish worked as a study hall teacher and part of the security staff at Emmaus High School, serving nearly 3,000 students per day. He also worked as a substitute teacher in many subjects (algebra, art, dance, English, fashion design, mass communications, Spanish, and world literature) for middle and high school students at Innovative Arts Academy in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania.
Kish enjoys attending professional boxing and mixed martial arts events. He is a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
