Samantha Cleary ’15 joined the Seahawk Club as Assistant Director of Athletic Development in June of 2024.
Cleary joins the Seahawk Club from the UNCW Office of Alumni Engagement where she served as their Assistant Director for 2.5 years. A UNCW alumna and former track and field team member, Cleary brings a personal understanding of the significance of athletic programs to the university community.
Previous to her work with the Office of Alumni Engagement, Cleary worked at the Wilmington based non-profit, paws4people foundation, as their Director of Advancement & Engagement. During her tenure at paws4people she coordinated their fundraising events, worked with various donors to raise funds for programming and oversaw their volunteer programs.
Cleary’s extensive experience in fundraising, public relations, and donor relations, combined with a strong connection to UNCW makes her a great addition to the Seahawk Club.
