Rory Farmer joined the UNCW staff in August of 2025 as Associate Director of Facilities and Event Management. She will oversee UNCW's baseball and volleyball gameday operations, as well as the facilities for those programs, Brooks Field and Hanover Hall, respectively.Â
A native of Pemberville, Ohio, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 2024. In 2025, Farmer graduated with her Master's degree in Business Administration.Â
While at BGSU, Farmer served as an Events and Operations intern within the athletic department from Fall 2023 to Fall 2024. She started a new role as Events and Operations Assistant at the start of the 2024 academic year. Farmer aided in the process of interviewing, hiring, supervising, and payroll for student Game Attendant staff.
Farmer also assisted with the planning and execution of BGSU's football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, gymnastics, indoor track and field, baseball, and softball events. She served on the gameday staff for the 2023 MAC Cross Country Championships and 2024 MAC Volleyball Championships hosted at BGSU and the NCAA Division I Regional Hockey Tournament in Toledo, Ohio.Â
Prior to working for BGSU athletics, Farmer spent a year and a half working for the Toledo Mud Hens and Walleye with their in-game presentations, promotions, and fan experience.Â
Farmer enjoys watching Ohio State football, running, traveling, and exploring Wilmington.
