Nathan Hovey joined the UNCW Athletics creative and communications team as Social Media Coordinator in September 2024.
Previously, he contributed as a student creative content producer for the UNCW Men’s Basketball Program, where he honed his skills in dynamic sports media and storytelling.
Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Hovey graduated from UNCW in the summer of 2024 with a degree in Communication Studies.
Hovey brings expertise in social media strategy and creative content production, collaborating closely with all UNCW athletic teams, as well as the marketing and ticketing departments, to elevate the UNCW Athletics brand across digital platforms.
In his spare time, Hovey enjoys watching all San Fransisco professional sports teams. He is also an avid fan of Formula 1 and Lando Norris.
