Joy Shaver joined the UNCW Athletics Creative staff in August of 2024 after working as a student-assistant during the 2023-24 academic year.
Shaver graduated from UNCW with a degree in Communications. She was part of the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and was the 2024 UNCW Video Student of the Year.
Shaver has shot a variety of events including the CAA Baseball Tournament, the USLA Lifeguarding Competition, and various UNCW athletic competitions. Shaver worked with UNCW Hockey, UNCW Lacrosse, UNCW Cameron School of Business, and Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue to create graphics and videos.
