Gray Peterson returned to his alma mater in November 2023 as Assistant Director of Facilities & Event Management.
He will serve as the primary facility and event manager for the UNCW Baseball and Men's Soccer programs. In addition, he will act as a secondary point of contact for basketball facility and event operations.
Peterson returns to the Carolina coast following a stint at Oklahoma State. Prior to his time with the Cowboys, he began his professional career at UNCW as Coordinator for Facilities & Event Management for UNCW’s beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, swimming and diving and men’s and women’s tennis programs.
A 2019 UNCW graduate with a degree in communication studies, Peterson joined the Seahawks’ staff after a three-month stint as a facility operations assistant at the University of Georgia. He assisted with day-to-day facility operations for Sanford Stadium, in addition to the Bulldogs’ soccer, volleyball, swimming and diving, equestrian and track and field facilities.
Peterson also oversaw the student workers and was in charge of volleyball court conversions at Stegeman Coliseum.
During his undergraduate years at UNCW, Peterson was a supervisor for the facilities and event management student and part-time staff and aided in the department’s operations during conference and NCAA Tournament events.
