Pete Hoyer brings over 40 years of coaching experience to the program including 34 at the NCAA Division I and II levels, most recently at Indiana University Pennsylvania as an assistant. IUP made three consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II tournament.
Among those 34 seasons at the NCAA level are 12 as head coach with stops at Dayton and Southern Utah. At Dayton. Hoyer posted a record of 177-99 in 10 seasons with the Flyers and guided the program to a pair of Atlantic 10 regular season titles. In 2001, he was recognized as the A10's Coach of the Year.
Hoyer also served on the staff at NC State, Idaho, UTSA and Ohio.
