Former VCU standout and Wilmington native Kristin Boyd enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Seahawk program in 2015.
A four-year starter for the Rams, Boyd concluded her career ranked second on the program’s all-time kills list (1,266) and tied for seventh with 481 sets played. As a sophomore, VCU won the Colonial Athletic Association with a 12-2 mark while posting a 27-9 record overall.
Following her collegiate career, Boyd served as a head coach with the Cape Fear Volleyball Club and as an assistant at Tesoro High School.
Boyd graduated from VCU in 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
