Courtney Weathersbee returns for her second stint with the program in 2022-23, having previously served as an assistant in 2020-21. She initially came to the program after serving on the staff at Marymount University as a graduate assistant.
Prior to rejoining the staff at UNCW, Weathersbee served on the coaching staffs of the men's and women's programs at King University in Bristol, Tenn.
While at Marymount, a Division III program in Arlington, Va., Weathersbee helped the Saints to a pair of Atlantic East Conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. The Saints reached the regional finals before bowing to seventh-ranked Trinity (Texas).
During her time with the Saints, Weathersbee was heavily involved with recruiting and academics and specialized in setter training.
Prior to assisting at Marymount, Weathersbee played collegiately at Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C. She finished her career sixth on the Bobcats' career assists list while earning Dean's List honors four times and twice was named to the Conference Carolina's All-Academic team.
Weathersbee earned a degree in business from Lees-McRae.
