UNCW alum Becker Seifert joined the Seahawk Sports Performance staff in the November of 2021 as an assistant coach.

The Henderson, N.C., native worked previously as an assistant strength coach at Limestone University in Gaffney, S.C. He worked with the Saints’ football, women’s basketball and men’s and women’s wrestling teams.

“Returning to my alma mater is a dream come true,” said Seifert. “Being in a position to positively influence and impact the Seahawk student-athletes is something that I am incredibly grateful for.”

Prior to Limestone, Seifert worked in the private sector as an athletic performance coach for baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball high school student-athletes.

 
From 2019-2020, Seifert worked as a sports performance coaching assistant at Duke. He worked primarily with the Olympic sports performance staff, assisting with women’s soccer, men's and women's track and field, cross country, men’s golf, softball, baseball, rowing, men’s lacrosse, wrestling, fencing, and volleyball. He also spent time with Duke’s men’s basketball team during his stay in Durham.
Seifert got his start in Charlottesville, Va., as an intern strength and conditioning coach with the Virginia football team.
Seifert graduated from JF Webb High School in Oxford, N.C. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at UNCW in 2016 and completed his Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning at Concordia University-Chicago in 2019.  
Seifert is certified by the CSCCa and NSCA.
He enjoys going to the beach, finding new restaurants and spending time with his family.
