After three seasons as a player for the UNCW women's soccer team, Mikayla Plansker remains with the program as a student assistant coach for the 2015 season.
Plansker appeared in 17 games as a freshman and made two starts. However, she missed the last two seasons due to injury.
The Virginia Beach, Va., native guided Kellam High School to a second place finish in the Beach District as a senior. She earned all-state and all-region notice as a junior in addition to being named as a first team All-Tidewater selection.
Honored as the Beach District Rookie of the Year in 2009, she was a two-time All-Beach District and All-Tournament Team pick.
Plansker is majoring in exercise science.
