A native of Indiana, Sharp has built a reputation as an energetic recruiter, player-development coach, and relationship-driven leader with experience across multiple Power Five programs and championship-level mid-major basketball. Prior to arriving at UNCW, Sharp served as the head coach at the University of Indianapolis for two seasons after previously spending five seasons on staff at Stetson University, her alma mater.
During her time at Stetson, Sharp helped guide the Hatters to multiple postseason appearances while playing a major role in recruiting, guard development, scouting, and offensive and defensive strategy. She was recognized as the program’s Assistant Coach of the Year in 2022 and earned her MBA from the university during her tenure.Â
Before returning to Stetson, Sharp gained valuable experience at several nationally recognized programs, including the University of Virginia, University of Texas, and University of Florida, where she worked in scouting, video coordination, recruiting operations, and player development roles.Â
As a student-athlete at Stetson, Sharp was a three-time team captain, two-time Atlantic Sun All-Conference selection, and the university’s 2015 Female Athlete of the Year. She finished her career with more than 1,200 points while ranking among the program’s all-time leaders in assists and steals. Sharp was named to the A-Sun All-Decade Team in 2020 and inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame and the Mooresville High School Hall of Fame in 2022.
