Caden Roberts joined the UNCW women's basketball program as Director of Basketball Operations in summer of 2022.
Roberts adds previous basketball operational and player development experience at the college and high school levels. Previously, Roberts served as Video Coordinator for the Gardner-Webb men's basketball team.
Roberts' primary duties with the Seahawks include overseeing all operational logistics while executing a comprehensive academic and athletic plan to ensure student-athlete and program success.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and develop at such a special place as UNCW," said Roberts. "I look forward to working with such an experienced staff as well as a great group of student-athletes."
While with the Runnin' Bulldogs, Roberts produced scouting edits and video playbooks for the team's scouting reports. The 23-year-old supervised Gardner-Webb's student managers and was an assistant coach for the school's junior varsity program.
The Martinsburg, W. Va., native completed a Player Development internship with the Nate Smith Basketball School during the 2019-20 season.
From 2018-19, Roberts was a Video Coordinator at Fairmont State. He aided in practices, arranged film exchanges with opposing teams and created analytical reports for game planning with the Falcons.
Roberts received a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from West Virginia in 2021. As a freshman, he assisted as a student manager for the Mountaineers women's basketball team.
In high school, Roberts was a student assistant coach for the Shepherd men's basketball team, a Division II program in Shepherdstown, W.Va., and at his alma mater, Martinsburg High.
