Brittany Drew

Brittany Drew enters her second season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the UNCW program in 2025-26, following her addition to the staff ahead of the 2024-25 campaign by head coach Nicole Woods.

"Brittany reminds me a lot of myself as a young coach. She is hungry, hard-working, a relationship builder, and most importantly, a winner,” Woods said. “Her connections throughout not just the state, but the country are an asset to our program. I am honored to give her this chance to achieve her dreams. Seahawk Nation will love her!"

In her first season as an assistant coach in 2024-25, Drew coached the 2025 CAA Defensive Player of the Year and first-team selection Ali Zelaya as well as Evan Miller, who went on to become the program's all-time leader in games played and signed a professional contract with A.D. Sanjoanense in Portugal after the season.

Drew also worked with Kate Hollifield, who led the CAA shooting 43.5% from 3-point range in conference games during the 2024-25 season. Drew coached Tia Dobson, who led all freshmen in the CAA during the 2024-25 campaign with 65 assists.

Drew had served as the head coach at High Point Christian Academy from 2019-24 and surpassed 100 career coaching victories in her fifth season.

A two-time Piedmont Triad Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, Drew guided the Lady Cougars to three NCISAA 3A State Championship appearances and three PTAC championships. Multiple players have developed into All-Conference and All-State performers, along with three PTAC Player of the Year recipients under Drew’s tutelage.

She was also recognized as the East coach for the North Carolina Private School All-Star and Triad Blue Chip All-Star Games.

Drew has also coached at Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she served as a junior varsity girls head coach as well as a varsity assistant, as well as coaching stints with the Greensboro Gators and Team Felton AAU teams.

A standout guard during her playing days at Page and Guilford College, Drew was an All-Conference performer at both stops. The Greensboro native scored over 870 career points, nearly 199 assists, and over 100 steals for the Quakers from 2011-15.

Drew left Guilford tied for third in school history with 111 appearances, including 70 starts. She stands seventh in Guilford history in three-pointers made (107) and attempts (339).
