Brittany Christian completed her second season as a member of the UNCW women’s basketball staff in 2019-20, including her first year as the team’s Director of Operations.
Christian, a 2015 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne, served as the Seahawks’ Director of Recruiting during the 2018-19 campaign. She assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scouting, social media, camps and community service as the Seahawks posted their first winning season in seven years with an 18-12 mark.
Prior to joining the Seahawks, Christian worked as the video coordinator for the East Carolina women’s basketball team, helping the Pirates’ staff with film breakdown, scouting, social media and community service.
Christian spent three seasons as an assistant women’s basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at Coker College, overseeing the team’s defensive systems. She began her coaching career at Davis & Elkins College in 2015 as an assistant coach.
A two-sport athlete at Lenoir-Rhyne, Christian was a three-year letter winner for the Bears’ women’s basketball team. She led the Bears to the 2014 South Atlantic Conference championship and three NCAA Tournament appearances. In addition, she also played for the Lenoir-Rhyne women’s lacrosse team as a senior and earned Second Team All-SAC distinction.
