After completing her playing career with the Seahawks, Amber Reeves moves into the role of graduate assistant for the 2017-18 season.
Reeves, a native of Marietta, Ga., finished her playing career at UNCW last year after appearing in 123 games from 2013-17, a mark that ranks fourth in program history. She scored 546 points with 447 rebounds in her career while compiling 153 assists.
As a senior, Reeves was one of three players to appear in all 31 games and started 18 times, including the final 17 games of the season. She averaged 2.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game and was a member of the Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team.
During her junior season, Reeves started 16-of-30 games for the Seahawks and earned her second straight nod on the CAA All-Academic Team. She averaged 6.1 points per game and reached double figures six times, including a season-high 13 points against William & Mary.
Reeves appeared in all 30 games as a sophomore and ranked sixth on the team with a 4.2 scoring averge. She started all 32 games during her freshman season and averaged 5.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest.
Reeves, who graduated from UNCW in May with a degree in Biology, is working towards earning a Master's Degree in Chemistry.
