Cambrie Cooke joined the UNCW staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in January of 2024 and has since provided coverage for the Seahawks' successful softball program.
Prior to joining the Seahawks, Cooke was on the athletic training staff at Old Dominion, where she worked with the Monarch's men's soccer and women's tennis teams.
She previously was a graduate student at UNCW, where she worked with the Seahawk baseball and soccer programs while completing her Masters in Athletic Training degree. She worked at two high schools in North Carolina, Emsley A. Laney in Wilmington and North Brunswick in Leland, from January to May 2022 and also spent the summer of 2022 with the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League.
Cambrie holds BOC and CPR/AED certifications and has completed Green Zone and QPR Suicide Prevention training.
A 2020 graduate from McDaniel College with a bachelor’s in kinesiology, she was a member of the Green Terror swim team and competed in the backstroke and individual medley. She was a member of the Kinesiology Club, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Alphi Phi Omega National Service Fraternity at McDaniel and the Graduate Athletic Training Association at UNCW.
