Jennifer Petteys 2020-21 Headshot

Jennifer Petteys

Jennifer Petteys completed her first season as a member of the Seahawks' softball coaching staff in 2021.

Petteys joined the Seahawks after spending the 2020 campaign as a volunteer assistant coach at NC State. The Wolfpack recorded its best 15-game start by opening the year with an 11-4 record and had a 19-6 mark when the season was halted in early March.

NC State ranked sixth in the nation by averaging 1.52 home runs per game while its .544 slugging percentage was good for 11th nationally.

Prior to joining the NC State staff, Petteys spent seven years as the head coach at York College of Pennsylvania. She compiled a 153-144-2 record, including 105 victories over her final four seasons with 13 All-Capital Athletic Conference selections during that span.

A 2006 inductee into the St. John Fisher Athletic Hall of Fame, Petteys ranks second in school history with 223 career hits and earned NFCA All-Region First Team recognition as a senior in 1999. She graduated from St. John Fisher with a degree in sociology.

“We are excited about Jen and the depth of softball knowledge she brings to our program,” Head Coach Kristy Norton said. “Jen is an incredible teacher and mentor to young women and she is passionate about teaching and growing relationships. She is a wife and mom to two young kids and we welcome her to our Seahawk family.”
