Chris Cooprider, one of the greatest players in the history of the program, returns as a volunteer assistant coach this spring.

The Denver native played four seasons for the Seahawks from 2009-13 and compiled a 55-21 singles record and 55-21 doubles mark. He ranks fifth all-time in singles and doubles.

Cooprider was a three-time All-Conference selection in singles and doubles from 2011-13 and was selected Colonial Athletic Association Tournament MVP in 2011 and 2013. He was a First-Team All-CAA pick in singles and doubles in his senior year.

During his career with the Seahawks, the team won CAA crowns in 2011 and 2013 and advanced to the NCAA Regionals three times in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Following his graduation in spring the spring of 2013, Cooprider played professionally in six events overseas, achieving an ATP ranking of No. 964 in singles and No. 980 in doubles.
