Taylor Clarke was named as a volunteer assistant coach for the UNCW men's soccer team in May, 2016.
A 2014 graduate of Saginaw Valley State University in University City, Mich., Clarke joins the coaching staff after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Ashland University women's soccer team.
In two seasons at Ashland, Clarke helped lead the Eagles to a combined 26-11-1 record, including a 14-4-1 mark last year. The Eagles reached the championship game of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and were ranked No. 21 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II poll.
A four-year letter winner at Saginaw Valley State, Clarke started 65 games and helped the Cardinals reach the NCAA Division II Championship game in 2012 while earning Second-Team All-GLIAC notice. The three-time team captain was a four-time selection to the GLIAC All-Academic Team and earned GLIAC All-Tournament Team recognition in 2012 and 2013.
Clarke graduated from Saginaw Valley State in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Educational History and is working on his Master's Degree in Education from Ashland.
