Former UNCW men's soccer standout Sam Williams for his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Seahawks.
Williams, who graduated from UNCW in May 2016, was a four-year letter winner for the Seahawks who started 16-of-27 games. He posted a 1.11 goals against average while stopping 70.0 percent of the shots he faced.
After starting eight of nine games as a freshman, the Clinton, N.C., native was a starter in seven contests during his sophomore campaign and recorded a 0.96 goals against average with two shutouts. He started six games in 2014 and finished the season with a 0.80 goals against average and three shutouts.
Williams appeared in five games during his senior campaign in 2015 and finished with a 0.91 goals against average.
