Jaden Kinglsey joined the UNCW track and field and cross country programs as an assistant coach in August 2025, following a standout career as a distance runner at Charleston Southern University.
Kingsley, a native of Chapin, South Carolina, set the record for the indoor distance medley relay at Charleston Southern and recorded one of the most dominant careers in the program's distance running history (2019-25). He ranks in the top 10 in several school and Big South conference record books.
He was a four-time NCAA Southeast Region qualifier in cross country for the Buccaneers, finishing 20th in the 10K with a career-best time of 29 minutes, 35.7 seconds to earn NCAA All-Region status in 2023.
Kingsley was also selected to the Big South first team at the 2023 Big South Cross Country Championships, becoming just the 15th runner in Big South history to be a four-time first-team selection.
On the track, Kingsley captured two Big South Indoor Track and Field Championships in 2024, winning the 3,000 and DMR events for the Buccaneers, and concluded his career at the 2025 NCAA East First Round in the outdoor 10,000-meter race. During the 2025 outdoor season, Kingsley posted his career-best time of 28:40.56 in the 10,000 at the Raleigh Relays. During the 2025 indoor campaign, Kingsley ran the fastest 5,000-meter race of his career, recording a time of 13:52.71 in Boston.
A USTFCCCA all-academic performer for the Buccaneers, Kingsley earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in biology from Charleston Southern.
