Kevin Easley begins his second season as the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations for the Seahawks.

Before moving to Asheville, Easley worked with Team Loaded, an AAU program, in 2011-12 and helped coach the 16-under team compile a 40-7 record and a No. 10 ranking in Five-Star Basketball’s final AAU poll.

The Trenton, Tenn., native spent the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons as an assistant coach at High Point for Coach Scott Cherry. He helped recruit the top class in the Big South Conference in 2010-11 and helped the Panthers advance to the semifinals of the BSC tourney.

He also worked three years as an aide for former coach Mike Dement at UNCG from 2006-09. He played a key role in the development of four-time First-Team All-Southern Conference performer Kyle Hines.

Easley was a four-year standout at Austin Peay from 1997-2001. In 1998-99, he was voted the team’s Most Improved Player and he appeared in 21 games in 2000-01 when APSU went 22-10.

When APSU assistant Bret Campbell became the head coach at Tennessee-Martin, Easley signed on as an assistant coach in 2004-05. The Skyhawks made a seven-win improvement in Easley’s first season at UTM and he helped recruit 2007-08 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year Marquis Weddle.

A high school star at Peabody High School in Trenton, Easley was a finalist for Tennessee's Class A “Mr. Basketball” in 1996-97 after sparking his team to a 26-1 record in his senior season.

Easley earned his B.S. Degree in Mass Communications from Austin Peay in 2002 and completed his M.S. in Education from UT-Martin in 2006.

He is married to the former Erin Wren and the couple has two children, Sebastian, 7, and Peyton, 4. Easley is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
