Brad Moore joined the athletic staff as interim Director of Sports Performance in December of 2019 and was elevated to the top position in late August of 2020.
Moore manages a staff of three other sports performance coaches and oversees the Sports Performance Department. He is directly responsible for training the baseball, men’s soccer, and women’s tennis teams, while overseeing the remainer of the teams.
During his time at UNCW he has accomplished numerous achievements, including implementing TeamBuildr Online Strength & Conditioning Software in the Sports Performance Center, adding a fourth staff member to the Sports Performance team in the role of an Assistant Director of Sports Performance, and designing and installing a new baseball indoor training facility weight room with “Seahawk Baseball” branded Dynamic Fitness & Strength racks and equipment (Jan 2023). Moore has been a part of developing numerous high level athletes who have continued their career at the next level and have been a part of championship teams along with other facets of the department that have proven successful.
Moore believes in the collaborative approach to training and developing student-athletes with the Sports Performance Team, including Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition.
Moore gained collegiate experience at Ohio State, N.C. State and Meredith College before shifting to the private sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina State University, and a Master’s Degree in Athletic Coaching Education from West Virginia University.
Moore holds the CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Moore resides in Wilmington with his wife Rebecca, and their daughter, Eloise.
