Biography

      A 15-year veteran of UNCW's athletic department, Rob Brickels serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Development for the Seahawks.
      Brickels was elevated to the position in the fall of 2008 after holding down the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Promotions at his alma mater.
      The Davidson, N.C., native lettered two years in tennis for the Seahawks and worked in private business before joining the athletic staff. He heads up the marketing and promotions arm of the department, including merchandising, ticket campaigns and advertising strategies, and assists in fundraising and corporate sponsorship cultivation.
      Brickels has served as tournament director of the CAA Baseball Championships for the last seven years during its stay at Brooks Field.
      Brickels earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from UNCW in 1985.
      He and his wife, Mary, have a daughter, Sarah, 18, and a son, Davis, 13.
