Biography

      Melissa Hunt joined the Seahawk athletic staff as Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services in February of 2011.
      Hunt, 30, previously served as an academic advisor at Florida State, where she worked primarily with the school's football program.
      Hunt oversees academic support for UNCW's 19 intercollegiate sports. She is responsible for coordinating support services, monitoring academic eligibility requirements and providing advisement on course and major selection to UNCW's 330-plus student-athletes.
      Before taking the position in Tallahassee, Hunt worked as a compliance assistant and assistant director of student development at East Carolina. She is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics. 
      Hunt earned her Bachelor's Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at N.C. State and completed her Master's Degree in Sports Administration at ECU.
