Jason Goodmurphy oversees UNCW’s indoor athletic facilities as Facilities Operations Manager for the Seahawks.
The native Canadian spent his early years in Michigan and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management from Davenport University. He then enrolled in the Sports Management program at Central Michigan University and is working on his thesis in the Master’s program.
In his first year at CMU, Goodmurphy handled membership for the Chippewa Club and assisted with the group’s special events. He moved into the facilities realm in his second year in Mount Pleasant, serving as the game administrator for men’s basketball, volleyball and gymnastics, and scheduling all athletic facilties.
Goodmurphy enjoys playing tennis, basketball, golf, grilling, walking his Doberman, “Murphy,” and repairing items.
An avid disc golf competitor, he has played in The Disc Golf National Amateur and World Championships twice since taking up the sport.
