UNC Wilmington Athletics

      Cody Edwards was named Director of Compliance at UNC Wilmington in the spring of 2009.

      Edwards joined the Seahawk staff from the University of South Florida, where she has served as Director of Compliance for two years.

      Edwards served as a compliance intern at her alma mater, Iowa State, in 2005, and worked as a research assistant before joining the NCAA as an enforcement intern in June of 2006. She was assigned to Secondary Enforcement and Gambling and Amateurism Activities in Indianapolis.

      The Van Meter, Iowa, native moved to Tampa in July of 2007 to assist with USF’s compliance efforts. Edwards evaluated high school transcripts for NCAA initial-eligibility requirements, monitored the eligibility certification for more than 400 student-athletes and provided education for the department’s student-athletes and coaches.

      Edwards earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Iowa State in 2004.
