Biography

        Aldo Plata returned to his alma mater in August of 2006 and serves as head men's athletic trainer.
        The Wauchula, Fla., works with the baseball, men's tennis and women's tennis teams.
        Plata earned his B.A. in Athletic Training from UNCW in 2003 and his M.A. in Sports Management from East Tennessee State in 2006.
        He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, North Carolina Athletic Trainers Association and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association.
        Plata can be seen during the summer months working the camp circuit. He has worked at the UNC Chapel Hill Women's Soccer Camps, N.C. State Soccer Camps, N.C. State Football Camps, N.C. State Basketball Camps, University of Florida Football Camps and the Team USA Baseball Events.
        Plata also served as the athletic trainer for the USA Baseball U18 National Team at the 2012 Pan American Games in South America.
        He enjoys running, playing basketball, reading, live music and spending time with his family and friends.
        Plata and his wife, Faby, are the proud parents of a daughter, Daniela.
