Prior to UNCW: Pitched for two seasons on the varsity at DH Conley High School and for coach Jason Mills … Helped the Vikings to a pair of state tournament appearances his junior and senior seasons … Captained the Vikings as a junior and senior … Tossed a pair of no-hitters in high school … Earned All-State honors his senior season … Twice named All-Conference … Was 13-0 cand compiled a 1.31 ERA in 85.1 innings in two seasons at the prep level … Struck out 145 hitters and allowed just 49 hits … As a senior, finished 7-0 with a 1.94 ERA and struck out 72 in 43.1 innings (14.95 per nine innings) … Pitched for Dirtbags National travel program.
