Tyler Hott arrives at UNCW following one year as the Athletic Trainer for the Kennesaw State track and field program. While with the Owls, Hott worked with over 100 student-athletes in the program and helped six Owls reach the NCAA Track & Field Championships in Austin, Texas.
Prior to KSU, Hott spent two years at Cumberland University, an NAIA school in Lebanon, Tenn., where he oversaw athletic training for the football, track and field, golf and cross country programs.
Hott graduated from Shenandoah University twice earning his bachelor's of science, Exercise Science degree in May 2017, and his master's of science in Athletic Training in May 2019.
After graduating with his master’s, Hott began working with the Woodstock River Bandits in the Valley Baseball League. He then went to work at Physical Therapy @ ACAC and Western Albemarle High School in Virginia providing athletic coverage for all high school teams.
During his undergraduate, he played baseball for Shenandoah where he was a pitcher and shortstop. Hott was a part of four straight conference championships including four straight NCAA Regional appearances. During his senior season in 2017, he received York Regional All-Tournament Team, Second Team ABCA All-Region, and First Team VaSID All-State honors.
Hott is Graston M1 trained, Smart Tools BFR Level 1 Certified, a USAW Sports Performance Coach, and also has a Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1 Certification.
