At Salisbury: Played four years on the varsity for coach Mike Herndon and the Hornets ... Earned All-Central Carolina Conference honors his junior and senior seasons ... Also earned All-County homers those two seasons ... Posted a 0.88 ERA and struck out 72 batters over 31.6 innings his senior season ... Compiled a 1.70 ERA and struck out 170 over 119.2 innings for his prep career ... Struck out 11 in win over top-ranked program in state 2A rankings ...
