Biography

Daniel Hargrave returns to the Seahawk program for his second season as an assistant coach in 2010. Hargrave was a four-year letterwinner for the Seahawks from 2005-08 before moving onto professional baseball.

Hargrave will coach first base, organize camps and clinics and work with infielders and hitting.

While playing for the Seahawks, Hargrave became the program's all-time leader in runs scored (187) and total bases (429).  He finished second with 39 career homers and drove in 172 runs, ranking him third on the career leader list. He also holds the single season run record, crossing the plate 71 times his senior season and helping the Seahawks to the NCAA tournament and a spot in the regional championship for the third time in four appearances.

In 2008, Hargrave was named first-team ABCA All-East while also earning a spot on the NCCSIA All-State squad and a place on the Colonial Athletic Association's first-team. A school-record nine players earned All-CAA honors that season as the Seahawks tore through the league with a 25-4-1 mark.

Hargrave was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 22nd round of the 2008 MLB draft and played two seasons in the organization before turning to a career coaching.
