Shauna Baker-Karl joined the Student-Athlete Support Services staff in August of 2014 and became an Academic Coordinator in February of 2015. She works with Men’s Soccer, Baseball, Softball, and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving.
A native of Chantilly, Va., Baker-Karl earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Virginia and completed her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletics Management at UVa.
Baker-Karl worked with the Virginia Men’s Lacrosse team during her undergraduate days and served as an intern in football administration with the Cavaliers.
Baker-Karl enjoys spending her spare time with her ferret, Java, and her labradoodle, Finn. She lives by the C.S. Lewis mantra: “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
