Stott moved into a coaching position during the 2024 season following a long stint as the program’s Director of Operations. He served as first base coach while assisting with the hitters.

In 2025, UNCW reached the conference tournament championship game for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons and qualified for the postseason for the 39th consecutive season.

Tanner Thach (first team), Brock Wills (second team) and Kevin Jones (second team) were All-CAA award winners. Trevor Lucas was named honorable mention All-CAA.

Thach led the lineup with a .325 batting average and 12 home runs. His 46 runs batted in were second. During the season, Thach, who already was the program's career leader in home runs (54) also became the record holder with 189 RBI's. He also was second with 429 total bases and fourth with a 596 slugging average.

The Seahawks hit 86 home runs and slugged .457 in 2024, ranking third and ninth, respectively, on UNCW’s single season record board.

Tanner Thach and Trevor Marsh powered the lineup with Thach belting a program-record 27 home runs and driving in 75 runs. Marsh, meanwhile, hit .363 with 15 homers and 50 runs batted in. His 90 hits are tied for eighth all-time.

Jac Croom, an All-CAA selection, posted career-highs in doubles (12), triples (4), home runs (9) and runs batted in (41). His 10 stolen bases were a team-leading and career-high total.

Stott spent his first two seasons as an undergraduate assistant and from 2015 to 2017 he was a student assistant coach. He was elevated to the position as Director of Operations.

Stott assisted with hitters and corner infielders during his time as a student assistant. During his time on staff, Stott was a part of CAA Championships in 2015, 2018, and 2019 along with regional appearances in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

He graduated in 2015 with a degree in Physical Education and Health and received a master’s in education in 2017.

Prior to his time at UNCW, Stott spent two years as a player at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., in 2012 and 2013. He also spent summers playing and coaching in eastern Europe as a part of Purpose Driven Baseball.
