INCLEMENT WEATHER:
  • UNCW Event Management utilizes DTN WeatherSentry software and notification services. UNCW Event Management will monitor the weather 24 hours a day and use the following policy in the event of severe weather: Evacuation will occur if the storm path will come within an eight (8) mile radius of the track. In the event that the complex needs to be evacuated, the PA Announcer will notify all spectators. All spectators will be asked to clear the complex at this time as quickly as possible.
  • The safest location for spectators to go is in a hard-topped vehicle with the windows up. In the absence of a vehicle, UNCW Event Management Staff will direct spectators to a safe location. The complex will remain closed until the storm is clear of an eight (8) mile radius of the track. Resumption of the meet will only occur once an all clear has been given and conditions are deemed safe after consultation between the meet officials and UNCW Event Management.
