2022-23 Women's Basketball A-Z Guide

ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at Trask Coliseum. Prior to game day, guests with any special needs are encouraged to reach out to the UNCW Facilities & Event Management team at 910-962-3033 or gameday@uncw.edu. Our staff can assist in making arrangements for your visit and answer any questions.  If you have any questions on game day, please contact the nearest event staff member. 
  • Parking - ADA parking is located in Lot K and Eaton Plaza, adjacent to Trask Coliseum.Guest should use Gate A1/A4 to enter Trask Coliseum.
  • Seating - Accessible seating is located on court level in front of the East Bleachers.There is no elevator available to access the upper seating bowl.
  • Restrooms - Accessible restrooms are located in the NW, NE and SE corners of Trask Coliseum.Please see stadium staff for their specific location.
ADDRESS: Trask Coliseum is located at 679 Wagoner Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

ALCOHOL/TOBACCO: Alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco products are strictly prohibited at all UNCW Athletics events. Alcohol will be sold inside of the arena but is not permitted to leave Trask Coliseum once purchased. Individuals violating this policy will have to dispose of any items deemed unacceptable by event staff and are subject to ejection from the stadium.

ALCOHOL SALES: Beer and wine may be purchased at the authorized locations listed below. Fans must be 21 years or older to purchase alcohol and have an authorized alcohol wristband which can be obtained at an ID check station (Gate C). Alcohol sales will begin 90 minutes prior to tip-off and will end at the five-minute mark in the third quarter. 

ANIMALS: All animals are prohibited inside Trask Coliseum. Service animals are welcome. An Emotional Support Animal is not a Service Animal under this policy or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not be allowed into any UNCW Athletics facility.

ATM: There are no ATM’s located in Trask Coliseum. General patrons can find ATMs within the Fisher University Union. See campus map (UNCW Campus Map) for the location of the Fisher University Union.

BABY CHANGING STATIONS: Baby changing stations can be found in all men’s and women’s restrooms.

BAG POLICY: UNCW enforces the “Clear Bag” policy for all men’s & women’s Basketball games inside Trask Coliseum. Fans are permitted to bring in ONE approved bag from the Clear Bag Policy person (1 gallon clear Ziploc bag, Small purse/clutch 6.5”x4.5”, clear tote or logo clear tote bag 12”x6”x12”). Medical & diaper bags are permitted but will be searched and tagged upon entry. Diaper bags must be accompanied by a child. All working staff bags will be screened and tagged upon entry. UNCW reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such item will need to be returned to the guest’s vehicle. UNCW is not responsible for any confiscated items.

For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside Trask Coliseum. Unattended bags/items found outside of the facility will be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by facility officials, including but not limited to disposal.  UNCW is not responsible for loss of any unattended items.

BANNERS AND SIGNS: Banners and Signs are permitted inside Trask Coliseum; however, UNCW reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other guests, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate or derogatory.

CAMERA POLICY: Handheld still cameras are permitted for personal use only. No cameras are permitted into the facility with a lens longer than five (5) inches.  Videos cameras are permitted to be used during pre-game and halftime only. In addition, video cameras are prohibited from filming the game. 

CONCESSIONS: A variety of food items and Pepsi products are available from the concession stands located throughout Trask Coliseum. The concession stand opens 60 minutes prior to the start of the game. Concessions on the first floor of Trask Coliseum may be found in the main lobby (Gates A1 - A4).  

CONDUCT: UNCW Athletics expects all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition. We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches, and officials with courtesy and respect. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Trask Coliseum by not:
  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
  • Harassing athletes, coaches, officials, or spectators based on gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, or religion
  • Appearing to be impaired or in a diminished capacity;
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request or sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket;
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
  • Smoking;
  • Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
  • Otherwise, being disorderly.

Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Guests should contact a stadium official if they feel someone is not acting appropriately.

COVID-19: UNCW Athletics has put in place safety and cleaning procedures for the 2021-22 basketball season. UNCW Athletics is committed to keeping its facilities, student-athletes, coaches, working staff and guests safe during their time inside Trask Coliseum. UNCW Athletics always requires all guests and working to wear a face covering while inside Trask Coliseum. We always ask that all guests and working staff self-assess themselves prior to coming to campus and maintain social distancing while inside Trask Coliseum.

Hand sanitizer stations have been strategically placed throughout Trask Coliseum. All facility areas, including seating areas, locker rooms, restrooms, stairwells/handrails, door handles, gate entrances and other common areas, are cleaned and disinfected throughout the week. These areas will also be cleaned and disinfected prior to the opening of gates, during the event and after the event.

CREDIT CARDS: UNCW concessions gladly accepts all forms of major credit cards for your convenience.

DIRECTIONS: Directions to Trask Coliseum are listed below:
  • If Traveling To Wilmington Via I-40: I-40 becomes US 132/South College Road once the interstate ends. Continue traveling south on South College Road approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Trask Coliseum is located approximately 0.5 miles on your left.
  • If Traveling To Wilmington via US 74/76: After crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, US 74/76 is also called Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson Street approximately 1.5 miles. Dawson Street (US 76E) will bear right and become Oleander Drive. Continue on Oleander Drive approximately 2.5 miles until it intersects with US 132N/South College Road. Turn left onto South College Road. Travel approximately 1 mile north, and then turn right onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first left onto Wagoner Drive.Trask coliseum is located on your right.
  • If traveling from North of Wilmington via US 17: US 17 becomes Market Street in Wilmington. Continue traveling south on Market Street. Go under the overpass at the junction of US 117S/132S, and immediately turn left at the traffic light onto South College Road. Continue traveling on South College Road approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Trask Coliseum is located approximately 0.5 miles on your left.
  • If Traveling From Wilmington International Airport: As you exit the airport, turn left onto 23rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Continue to the US 132/South College Road intersection, and turn right onto South College Road. Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Take your first left onto Wagoner Drive.Trask coliseum is located on your right.
EMERGENCIES:
  • During any emergency at Trask Coliseum, follow the directions of the public address announcer, event staff and emergency responders.
  • Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the facility to meet friends and family in case you are separated or in the event of an emergency.
  • Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency.
  • See Something, Say Something – If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or cause you concern, report the activity to the nearest event staff member.
  • Emergency vehicles may be present in and around Trask Coliseum. Please do not obstruct the path of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with their operations. Vehicles or objects (tents, tables, tailgate games, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by facility officials. Vehicles are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Monitor weather prior to the game.Take the necessary precautions to protect you, your family and friends in the event of severe heat or severe weather before, during or after the game. In the event of inclement weather during the game, please be prepared to evacuate the facility and return to your car.

ENTRY TO TRASK COLISEUM: Guests may enter Trask Coliseum at Gates A1, A4, Gate B, and Gate F.  Please see notes below for additional information.
  • Gates A1 and A4 are located on the west side of Trask Coliseum. This is an accessible entrance. Please present your ticket upon entry.
  • Gate B is located on the SW side of Trask Coliseum. This entrance is not accessible. Please present your ticket upon entry.
  • Gate F is located on the NW side of Trask Coliseum. Both General and Player/Guest Will Call are located at this entrance.

ENTRY SCREENING: Guests may be subject to screening upon entry to Trask Coliseum. General patrons are subject to inspection for security purposes. Please check the prohibited item list below for all non-permitted items to Trask Coliseum. If you have any questions, please contact 910-962-3033. Thank you for your cooperation.

FIRST AID/MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Guests in need of first aid or medical assistance should contact the nearest event staff member. EMS is located near section 100 in the SE corner of Trask Coliseum. In case of emergency, please dial 911. 

GATES OPEN: Gates open 60 minutes prior to game time.

GUEST SERVICES: If you need assistance or information, please find the nearest event staff member, contact UNCW Game Operations on Twitter @UNCW_Gameday or via email at gameday@uncw.edu.

ID CHECK STATIONS: Guests who wish to purchase alcohol must obtain a wristband at an ID Check Station located on the first floor at the South East corner near Gate C. Guests must present a valid ID and be 21 years or older to be given a wristband. 

LOST & FOUND: If any item is lost or found in the facility, please inquire about or report the item to the nearest event staff member. All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be will be available for pick up the following day. Please call (910) 962-3465 or email gameday@uncw.edu to inquire about lost items. Unclaimed items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event. After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded. 

LOST CHILD: In the event of a lost child or guest, please report the situation to the nearest event staff member as soon as possible. If a child or patron has been deemed lost by a guardian or fellow patron, they should report the situation to an event staff member as soon as possible.

MARKETING ITEMS: UNCW marketing items such as schedules, roster cards, magnets and other items may be found at the marketing tent located in the main lobby.

MERCHANDISE: UNCW merchandise is located at Gate B.

MEDIA & PHOTO CREDENTIALS: Media members or photographers looking to cover an event at UNCW are required to contact the UNCW Athletic Communications office by calling 910-962-4099.

PARKING AND TAILGATE INFORMATION: Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Please lock your vehicle.
  • GENERAL PUBLIC PARKING
    • ADA Parking can be found in Lot K, adjacent to Trask Coliseum. 
    • General Parking is available in Lot K, Lot K Extension, Hamilton Lot and Eaton Plaza.
  • Tailgating is permitted within the following lots:
    • Trask Lot and Eaton Plaza

  • In case of emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or call (910) 962-2222. UNCW Police will be the primary responder for on-campus emergency calls. If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please note UNCW and the Department of Athletics are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

RE-ENTRY: Re-entry is NOT permitted at Trask Coliseum.

RESTROOMS: Men’s & women’s restrooms are located throughout Trask Coliseum, which can be found at the following locations.

SEAHAWK DIGITAL NETWORK: The Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) is the official UNCW Athletics streaming and live stats service for all UNCW Athletics events. To access a schedule for streaming and live stats, please visit uncwsports.com/coverage.

STUDENT TICKETS: UNCW students, faculty and staff receive complimentary tickets with the presentation of a valid ID. (Complimentary tickets are subject to availability. For all UNCW student, faculty and staff questions, please contact the UNCW Ticket office at (910) 962-3002.

TICKETS: Tickets may be purchased at Gate A1 of Trask Coliseum beginning 60 minutes prior to tip-off. Presale tickets can be purchased at the UNCW Athletics Ticket office located inside Trask Coliseum at the northwest entrance or by calling (910) 962-3233. Business hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also purchase tickets anytime by visiting UNCWSports.com/BuyTickets. Adult tickets are $8 and youth tickets (15 & under) are $3.

WILL CALL: Will call tickets may be picked up or dropped off at Gate F at the ticket office. All guests picking up tickets must present a valid, state-issued, driver’s license or photo identification card.
