2020-21 UNCW Men's and Women's Soccer A-Z Guide

Note: UNCW’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all UNCW home sporting events. Click here for more information. 
ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at UNCW Soccer Stadium.  Prior to game day, guests with any special needs are encouraged to reach out to the UNCW Facilities & Event Management team at 910-632-3235 or gameday@uncw.edu. Our staff can assist in making arrangements for your visit and answer any questions.  If you have any questions on game day, please contact the nearest event staff member. 
  • Parking - ADA parking is located across from the main entrance to the UNCW Soccer Stadium on Hamilton Drive; adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts. Signage will be placed at the corner of Hurst & Hamilton Drive directing guests to the designated parking area.
  • Seating - Accessible seating is located along the front row of the grand stands. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Restrooms - Accessible restrooms are located at the main entrance to UNCW Soccer Stadium.
  • Accessible sidewalks are located along Hamilton Drive and lead to the main entrance as well as the grand stands. 
ADDRESS: The UNCW Soccer stadium is located at 751 Hamilton Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

ADMISSION: Admission is free to all UNCW soccer games. Spectator limits or Pass list requirements may be in effect due to COVID-19.

ALCOHOL/TOBACCO: Alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco products are strictly prohibited from entering all UNCW Athletics events. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.

ANIMALS: All animals are prohibited inside the UNCW Soccer Stadium. Service animals are welcome. An Emotional Support Animal is not a Service Animal under this Policy or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not be allowed into any UNCW Athletic facility.

ATM: There are no ATM’s located in the UNCW Soccer Stadium. General patrons can find ATM’s within the Fisher University Union. See campus map (UNCW Campus Map) for the location of the Fisher University Union.

BABY CHANGING STATIONS: A baby-changing table can be found in the Gender Neutral/Family Restroom and at both the Men’s & Women’s restrooms at the main entrance. 

BAG POLICY: UNCW enforces the “Clear Bag” policy for all men's and women's soccer games. Fans are permitted to bring in ONE approved bag from the Clear Bag Policy (1 gallon clear Ziploc bag, Small purse/clutch 6.5”x4.5”, clear tote or logo clear tote bag 12”x6”x12”). Medical & diaper bags are permitted but will be searched and tagged upon entry. Diaper bags must be accompanied by a child. All working staff bags will be screened and tagged upon entry. UNCW reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such item will need to be returned to the guest’s vehicle. UNCW is not responsible for any confiscated items.

For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of Boseman Field. Unattended bags/items found outside of the stadium will be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials, including but not limited to disposal.  UNCW is not responsible for loss of any unattended items

BIKE PARKING: Bike parking is available adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts and the Almkuist-Nixon Sports Medicine Building. Additional bicycle parking can be found near Hanover Hall. UNCW is not responsible for lost or stolen bicycles. 

CAMERA POLICY: UNCW Athletics has a strict video and photography policy. Please see details below:
  • No flash or still photography
  • No video cameras or camcorders
  • No cameras with lenses over three (3) inches
  • Videotaping and photography may be granted to authorized personnel only.
CONCESSIONS/ALCOHOL SALES: A small selection of food and drink items will be available from the concession stand located at the main entrance.  

CONDUCT: UNCW Athletics expects all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during and after competitions. We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches and officials with courtesy. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at the UNCW Soccer Stadium by not:
  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
  • Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity;
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request or sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket;
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
  • Smoking except in designated areas;
  • Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
  • Otherwise being disorderly.
Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest.  Fans should contact a stadium official if they feel someone is not acting appropriately. 

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: UNCW Athletics has put in place safety and cleaning procedures for the 2020-21 Soccer season. UNCW Athletics is committed to keeping its facilities, student-athletes, coaches, working staff and guests safe during their time on campus. UNCW Athletics requires all guests and working staff to wear a face covering while moving around inside of the UNCW Soccer Stadium. We always ask that all guests and working staff self-assess themselves prior to coming to campus and maintain social distancing while in attendance.

Plenty of hand sanitizer stations have been strategically placed throughout the stadium. Facility areas such as but are not limited to: fan seats, locker rooms, restrooms, stairwells/handrails, door handles, entrances and other common areas are cleaned and disinfected throughout the week. These areas will also be cleaned and disinfected prior to gates opening, throughout the event and after the event.

CREDIT CARDS: UNCW concessions (when available at events) gladly accepts all forms of major credit cards for your convenience.

DIRECTIONS: Direction to the UNCW Soccer Stadium are listed below:
  • If Traveling To Wilmington Via I-40: I-40 becomes US 132/South College Road once the interstate ends. Continue traveling south on South College Road approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If Traveling To Wilmington via US 74/76: After crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, US 74/76 is also called Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson Street approximately 1.5 miles. Dawson Street (US 76E) will bear right and become Oleander Drive. Continue on Oleander Drive approximately 2.5 miles until it intersects with US 132N/South College Road. Turn left onto South College Road. Travel approximately 1 mile north, and then turn right onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If traveling from North of Wilmington via US 17: US 17 becomes Market Street in Wilmington. Continue traveling south on Market Street. Go under the overpass at the junction of US 117S/132S, and immediately turn left at the traffic light onto South College Road. Continue traveling on South College Road approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
  • If Traveling From Wilmington International Airport: As you exit the airport, turn left onto 23rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Continue to the US 132/South College Road intersection, and turn right onto South College Road. Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. When Wagoner Drive ends, turn left onto Hurst Drive. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hamilton Drive. The UNCW Soccer Stadium is approximately ¼ mile on right.
EMERGENCIES:
  • During any emergency inside the UNCW Soccer Stadium, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Event Staff and emergency responders.
  • Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you are separated or in the event of an emergency.
  • Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency.
  • See Something, Say Something – If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or cause you concern, report the activity to the nearest event staff member.
  • Emergency vehicles may be present in and around UNCW Soccer Stadium. Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with their operations. Vehicles or objects (tents, tables, tailgate games, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials. Vehicles are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Monitor weather prior to the game. Take the necessary precautions to protect you, your family and friends in the event of severe heat or severe weather before, during or after the game. In the event of inclement weather during the game, please be prepared to evacuate the stadium and return to your car.
FIRST AID/EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Guests in need of first aid or medical assistance should contact the nearest event staff member.  In case of emergency, please dial 911. 

ENTERTAINMENT: Live in-game statistics provided by the UNCW Athletic Communications Office may be found by visiting UNCWStats.com.

ENTRY SCREENING: All people and/or items are subject to search. General patrons are subject to inspection for security purposes. Click here to review a list of non-permitted items to UNCW Athletics facilities. If you have any questions, please contact 910-962-3033. Thank you for your cooperation.

FILMING LOCATION: A small filming platform is located to the right of the media platform in the bleachers. The filming platform is to be used by authorized media and team personnel only. Individuals requesting access to this area should contact the UNCW Athletic Communications Office at (910) 962-3236.

FIRST AID: If you are in need of first aid please contact an event staff member immediately so they may assist you.

GATES: Gates open 30 minutes prior to game time.

GUEST SERVICES: If you are in need of assistance or information, please find the nearest event staff member, contact UNCW Game Operations on Twitter at @UNCW_Gameday or via email at gameday@uncw.edu.

HEAT MANAGEMENT: In the event of extreme heat (feels like temperature of 85° or greater), guests will be encouraged to visit the cooling station behind the bleachers. A cooling fan, ice water, chairs and a shaded tent will be available for all guests.    

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
  • UNCW Event Management utilizes DTN WeatherSentry software and notification services. UNCW Event Management will monitor the weather 24 hours a day and use the following policy in the event of severe weather: Evacuation will occur if the storm path will come within an eight (8) mile radius of the  UNCW Soccer Stadium. In the event that the stadium needs to be evacuated, the PA Announcer will notify all spectators. All spectators will be asked to clear the stadium at this time as quickly as possible.
  • The safest location for spectators to go is in a hard-topped vehicle with the windows up. In the absence of a vehicle, UNCW Event Management Staff will direct spectators to a safe location. The stadium will remain closed until the storm is clear of an eight (8) mile radius of the UNCW Soccer Stadium. Resumption of play will only occur once an all clear has been given and conditions are deemed safe after consultation between the game officials and UNCW Facilities & Event Management.
LOST & FOUND: If any item is lost or found in the stadium, please inquire about or report the item to the nearest event staff member.  All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be will be available for pickup the following day. Please call (910) 962-3465 or email gameday@uncw.edu to inquire about lost items. Unclaimed items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event.  After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded. 

LOST CHILD: In the event of a lost child or guest, please report the situation to the nearest event staff member as soon as possible. If a child or patron has been deemed lost by a guardian or fellow patron they should report the situation to an event staff member as soon as possible.

MAIN ENTRANCE: The main entrance to the UNCW Soccer Stadium is located off of Hamilton Drive near Boseman Field and the UNCW Tennis Courts. The main entrance contains men’s, women’s and family/gender Neutral restrooms, concessions, merchandise sales and ticket sales.

MARKETING ITEMS: UNCW marketing items such as schedules, roster cards, magnets and other items may be found at the marketing tent located near the main entrance.

MASKS AND FACE COVERINGS: Masks and face coverings will be required to be worn by all spectators and working staff at Boseman Field unless further direction from Campus, County, or State Governing bodies is given.

MERCHANDISE: UNCW merchandise is located at the main entrance of the UNCW Soccer Stadium. They accept cash and all major credit cards.

PARKING AND TAILGATE INFORMATION:
  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Please lock your vehicle.
  • Free General Public Parking is available in the Greene Track Lot. This lot may be accessed via Hamilton Drive.
  • ADA Parking is located along Hamilton Drive across from the main entrance and adjacent to the UNCW Tennis Courts.
  • Tailgating is permitted in the Greene Track Lot.Tents, tables, tarps or canopies ARE NOT permitted.

  • In case of emergency please dial 9-1-1 or call (910) 962-2222. UNCW Police will be the primary responder for on-campus emergency calls. If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please note that UNCW and the Department of Athletics are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

PLAYER ENTRANCE: The player entrance is located between the main entrance and the UNCW Intramural fields. This is not an entrance for general patrons. This is not a general public entrance.

PLAYER GUEST PASS LIST: The player/guest pass list is located at the main entrance at the ticket office.

RECYCLING: Recycling bins are located at the main entrance and around the UNCW Soccer Stadium for your convenience.

RE-ENTRY: Re-entry is NOT permitted at the UNCW Soccer Stadium unless there is a doubleheader or UNCW is hosting a tournament. Fans must have their ticket to be admitted for re-entry. All items are subject to search upon re-entry to the stadium.

RESTROOMS: Restrooms will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the game. Men’s, women’s and family/gender neutral restrooms are located at the main entrance. All restrooms are accessible for patrons with disabilities. 

SEATING: All seating is located on the west side of UNCW Soccer Stadium and is general admission, bleacher seating. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Accessible seating is located on the front row of the bleachers. Guests are not allowed to stand along the fence at the front of the bleachers.

SEAHAWK DIGITAL NETWORK: The Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) is the official streaming service for UNCW Athletics. For an updated list of scheduled streaming soccer broadcasts, please visit the UNCW Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer schedule pages.

SIGNS/BANNERS: Signs and banners are permitted within the UNCW Soccer Stadium. However, UNCW reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other guests, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate or derogatory.  

SKATEBOARDS/LONGBOARDS/HOVERBOARDS: Skateboards, longboards hoverboards and other transportation items are not permitted inside the UNCW
Soccer Stadium.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted at any UNCW Athletics events. Smoking is permitted 25 feet outside of any UNCW campus building or facility.
